Eevee has three possible evolutions: either Flareon, Jolteon, or Vaporeon.
But how you can know to which of these Pokémon Eevee will evolve to? When you just try to evolve one of them, it is impossible to know to which of these Eevee will become. Wouldn’t it be nice to choose yourself? Let’s say you don’t have much Pokémon of the fire type and you specifically want a Flareon and not a Jolteon nor a Vaporeon.
The whole ‘trick’ is actually rather simple.
First, pick the Eevee you want to evolve. Then, on that screen, you have the possibility to rename your Pokémon to a nickname of your choice. To choose your evolution Pokémon, simply use one of the following nicknames:
- Flareon: Pyro
- Jolteon: Sparky
- Vaporeon: Rainer
It’s as easy as this. Once you have renamed Eevee, you can go ahead and evolve it. Based on the nickname, you will find yourself with one of the three options as a result.
