Thanks to the guys over at Icons8 License, I could freely use their icon sets and I created a Windows 8 theme for the FileZilla FTP client! The default icons of FileZilla are dated, to say the least, so they could use an update.

To install this theme, you should unpack the .rar file and, depending on your operating system, place it in the right folder.

• Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10): C:\Program Files (x86)\FileZilla FTP Client\resources
• Linux (e.g. Ubuntu, Linux Mint, CentOS, …): /usr/share/filezilla/resources/

Then, open up Filezilla and select the newly installed theme.

Edit → Settings → Interface → Themes → Windows 8

You have the option to choose a 16 pixels by 16 pixels, or 32 pixels by 32 pixels. Enjoy! :)
