One of the most iconic Pokémon is Pikachu. This electric Pokémon is actually the evolution of Pichu; and Pikachu in its turn evolves into a Raichu. But how you do catch a Pikachu in Pokémon GO?

If have not yet started playing Pokémon GO, you are in luck. There is a little known trick in order to catch this iconic yellow creature. Once the game starts, you are presented with three Pokémon from which you can choose: Charmander, Bulbasar and Squirtle. Don’t catch any of them. Seriously. Just run away a couple of times until the game gives you a message. From that point on, Pikachu will appear!

Okay so now you know how to catch Pikachu if you did not yet start the game. In the case you are already playing, your best chance is to stumble upon it or try to hatch an egg. These eggs may contain rare types of Pokémon and Pikachu may be just in one of these eggs. Keep in mind that this is based on pure luck, so you can’t know for sure you will find a Pika in your egg – but worth trying at least.
